Aside from the English singer and songwriter's American tour and her preparation she's doing for her upcoming third album, Charli XCX is currently busy with some writing sessions with the Love the Way You Lie singer - Rihanna.
In a recent interview with the 23 year old Charli XCX with The Mirror, the singer said that people can look forward to "the greatest amount of electronic pop sound" that she will carry out, as a result, of her recently discovered music, Charli XCX also revealed taking inspiration from a very unexpected "it girl."
Charli XCX told The Mirror, "I'm a really big Rihanna admirer and I think she's such an unbelievable artist." "She's my best-loved pop girl. Rihanna is the real deal. I've actually been to a couple of writing sessions for Rihanna's new record. It was really pleasurable to put together a few tracks."
Then Charli XCX went on to admit that she also finds inspiration from Paris Hilton, "I've been really motivated by Paris Hilton, small dogs and a glitter, luxe lifestyle," Charli also said, "I've never met Paris before, but we were both at the amFAR Gala during the Cannes Film Festival this year. When I had my performance and I saw her singing along to my song, I cracked up. I'm such an admirer and one of my most-liked tracks ever is 'Stars Are Blind' - it's pop artistry."
Along with Charli XCX's new album, the singer also purues lending her pop writing expertise to other artists. The most recent of which is, Charli co-writing the new single of Selena Gomez, 'Same Old Love.' However, last year, Rihanna was observed tweeting a lyric from the song, thus Charli may have originally collaborated with Rihanna on it.
The collaboration of Charli and Rihanna for Selena's new single makes sense, taking into consideration that Charli was also exposed to The Mirror, as she's been called upon to give assistance to the tracks of Rihanna's upcoming eighth album.
