Sebastian Stan is slowly getting the attention he deserves. After his surprising action-packed turn as the Winter Soldier in the second 'Captain America' film, he landed a role as Meryl Streep's son in 'Ricki and the Flash,' and is set to appear as a scientist in the sci-fi flick 'The Martian.' Stan is also set to return as James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes in the highly awaited sequel 'Captain America: Civil War.'
His star may be rising, but Sebastian Stan manages to remain very down-to-earth. In fact, he doesn't even seem interested in taking on the role of Captain America in future Marvel films.
[SPOILERS AHEAD]
In the comic series 'Civil War,' Captain America is assassinated by Crossbones and the Winter Soldier assumed his role after Steve Rogers is presumed dead.
We Got This Covered recently spoke to Sebastian Stan and asked the 33-year-old actor if he would be interested in taking over as Captain America.
"No, I really wouldn't," Stan said. "Let me tell you, I think about that every day."
The reporter interrupted, asking, "You don't wanna be Captain America, is that what you're saying?"
Sebastian Stan just smiled. "It's so not up to me, and to be honest I really enjoy my job over there," he said. "I'm really happy going to work and doing what I do. I love the character that I have."
The actor did offer a hint of possibility. "It's up to a lot of different things, and whatever Marvel decides, I'm game," Stan concluded.
Although Sebastian Stan refused to give more details about 'Captain America 3,' he did reveal that 'Civil War' will feature a lot of action.
"Some brutal fighting, some serious fighting like you haven't really seen before in any of the other films, which I'm really proud to say," Stan said.
The action sequences are not the only things 'Captain America: Civil War' has going for it. According to Sebastian Stan, they may have an ensemble cast but each hero will be given a time to shine.
"A whole lot of character and heart, because there's a lot of people that are in the film, but you're going to get a lot of character from everybody," he said.
'Captain America: Civil War' is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.
