Donald Trump Will Have An Appearance on The Late Show with Colbert

After several failed attempts, the American real estate developer and television personality Donald Trump finally accepted the invitation of Stephen Colbert to appear on The Late Show.

Donald Trump will visit the Ed Sullivan Theater for the Late Show With Stephen Colbert on September 22, with the same schedule as Ernest Moniz (Obama's energy secretary), and critics are hoping that both parties can keep it civil.

However, the current host of the late-night television talk show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS - Stephen Colbert, desired to have Donald Trump as a guest for Tuesday night's premiere, however, Trump rejected the invitation, instead, the Republican presidential front-runner will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Despite the rejection of Trump, Stephen Colbert invited Hillary Clinton, who also declined the invitation in favor of the Tonight Show. Trump is scheduled to sit down with Fallon on September 11, while Clinton will have her time with Jimmy Fallon on September 16.

Because of Colbert's reputation of publicly criticizing politicians on The Colbert Report, it has been said that the reason why Trump and Clinton declined Colbert's invitation is that they held reservations about opening themselves up to mockery and contemptible language from Colbert.

On the other hand, the American comedian and television host Jimmy Fallon has given favor with the politicians as he has been a harmless interviewer, " who would never think to shine anything but a glowing light on his guests on the Tonight Show."

Nonetheless, the presidential candidate Jeb Bush did appear on Colbert's first Late Show, and surprisingly Colbert opted softball questions with Jeb Bush. Then later on the show, Colbert and Bush mocked the hair of Donald Trump for a while, but it was ultimately cut from the CBS broadcast. And the first Late Show telecast of Stephen Colbert drew about 6.6 million viewers.
