You went all the way to Disney World, you want to try those Disney restaurants - you're already there, and that's actually one of the reasons why you decided to visit the theme park - but it's full, and you have no reservation.
Even with a significant number of restaurants, getting restaurant reservations at Walt Disney World can be very difficult. Which is probably why DiS Dining Agent was created.
DiS Dining Agent helps customers make a reservation at a Disney World restaurant, and get their intended dining time - all for a measly fee.
Eater reports that this online service is similar to the apps Reserve and Resy, only with one small difference: DiS Dining Agency makes reservations way ahead of time, which is under same false name. This is then "[transferred] to customers" for a price.
Each reservations costs around $15, however the company's website does state a no-guarantee claim as to whether or not the reservation transfer would be successful.
Unfortunately, when it's not successful, DiS Dining Agent still gets to keep the money you paid.
But they do offer some sort of compensation, for another fee ranging from $6 to $10, the website will cancel the reservation, "in exchange for letting you know exactly when that happens," so the customer can have a greater chance of nabbing that table.
However, with a brilliant idea comes with its setbacks. A lot of Disney fans have been upset that a service such as this would hoard these reservations, which are difficult to book as it is.
A Disney Parks Mom panelist, Anna Skamarakas, even told the Orlando Sentinel, "It just infuriates me... they are doing something to circumnavigate the system, which isn't fair to the rest of us who are trying to play by the rules."
In addition, Disney has been aware of DiS Dining Agent and its services. The company is "currently reviewing the situation."
