Christopher Nolan just made an announcement - the 'Interstellar' director will be releasing another film on July 21, 2017. But to no surprise, everything is still pretty much a secret.
It was just this morning when Warner Brothers announced that the award-winning director would be making another movie with the studio - but those were the only details revealed.
They didn't even announce the title of the movie, let alone what it's about. But hey, that's in true Christopher Nolan fashion, so it's definitely nothing personal.
This isn't the first time Christopher Nolan kept secrets about his films. Let's not forget that this was the man behind the "The Dark Knight" trilogy for the "Batman" franchise.
Not only that, but "Interstellar" was also kept under wraps; while the film was undergoing early promotions, no one really knew what the movie was about space travel - at least in the beginning - since the early teasers were just wide-shot camera pans over a cornfield.
Perhaps, Christopher Nolan prefers to keep things under wraps to keep the suspense alive for his films. So it's all for our own good anyway. It's just too bad that movie geeks out there won't have much to obsess over about the new film.
This untitled film coming out in 2017 will be his first film since "Interstellar," which was released November last year. It also grossed $673 million, as Paramount took leadership of its domestic rollout while Warner Brothers were on the international release.
This is also isn't the first time Christopher Nolan has worked with Warner Brothers Studios. The company was the one who handled all three "The Dark Knight" series: "Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight," and "The Dark Knight Rises."
As per Variety, the "Batman" trilogy grossed $2.45 billion worldwide. As for his 2010 hit, "Inception" was also handled by Warner Brothers - which grossed over $800 million internationally.
