On Stephen Colbert's first The Late Show episode, George Clooney opens up about his marriage saying "they said it wouldn't last."
The 54-year-old actor who married human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in September 2014 was also asked how it's like to be "the arm candy in the relationship."
"What is it like to be the arm candy in a relationship?" Colbert asked. "She must say, like, 'We're going to meet extremely intelligent people tonight - these are not show folk. Just be shiny and pretty."
"Shiny and pretty - that's mostly what I do," Clooney nodded.
The show's new host then gave Clooney a late wedding present noting he wasn't invited to the Italian nuptials. When the actor opened the Tiffany box, he was surprised to see an engraved paper weight with "I don't know you" written on it.
"That's just to remind you that we don't know each other," Colbert said adding he doesn't want to "do the celebrity thing" and pretend they are friends in real life.
When asked why he was guesting without having any project to promote, Clooney told Colbert, "I'm just here to see you."
Colbert and Clooney then decided to make a fake movie together with the actor playing as a "tough no-nonsense secretary general if the UN." The clip entitled Decision Strike shows Clooney coming out of a room saying "not now damnit, I'm defusing a nuclear bomb."
Another clip then shows Clooney coming out of the same room after making out with a woman.
"Sex sells Stephen," he told Colbert, adding, "I did my own sex. I did all of my own stunts."
This is the first episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after David Letterman said goodbye in May after 33 years. Colbert previously hosted Comedy Central's The Colbert Report for nine years.
