The possibility of a Hellboy 3, remains uncertain, it remains in to exist in 'limbo' as the saying goes. However, that doesn't stop its followers to hope that it will come, after all it took 14 years for another Jurassic park to hit the big screen again. It's been only 7 years since Hellboy2.
Recently, Ron Perlman and director Guillermo Del Toro had dinner together, and discussed the possible of the plot for Hellboy 3. Ron Perlman actually said he's had enough of playing the character. Donning the prosthesis and make-up is not something he relishes but he does want to see the story finished.
Ron Perlman stated, "I really feel as though I'm done with the character," "I don't have a burning desire to put that sh** on again. But Guillermo told me what the resolve of the trilogy would look like, in broad strokes, and it's such an amazingly theatrical, cinematic idea, that I found it essential that we do it. We were designed to be a trilogy, with a beginning, a middle and an end. We've only done two-thirds, so I feel that we're not really done until we finish it."
During their dinner conversation, Del Toro apparently, reignited the desire within the actor (Perlman) for the character. Perlman talked about the role his twins would have in the upcoming sequel - as the Hellboy 2 film ended, with Liz being pregnant with his twins.
Perlman said, "Holy sh**, he's the beast of the Apocalypse. He has to take down civilization. He has to. It's non-negotiable. That's the foundation for the story, and that's why I think it would be a shame if we don't do it."
Then Perlman added, "I'll tell you this," "The two twins: one would look like the mum and one would look like the dad. And one of them was going to be completely corrupt, and the other one angelic. Which one was which? Only Guillermo would make the fu****-up-looking one be the angel. So then that adds to the saga."
