The highly-anticipated fantasy flick 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them' has finally begun principal photography, and the announcement reveals several details that may explain J.K. Rowling's tweet about Ezra Miller's character in the film!
Business Wire recently reported that the Harry Potter spin-off has started filming at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire on August 17. The announcement also featured the cast, which includes Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina, Alison Sudol as Queenie, Dan Fogler as Jacob and Colin Farrell as Graves. Ezra Miller was part of the list, with his character's name revealed to be "Credence" instead of the originally reported "Kredan."
'Harry Potter' author has previously responded to a fan's Twitter inquiry about the identity of Kredan, saying that "Kredan is quite literally nobody. They got the name wrong!"
In addition to Ezra Miller playing Credence, 'Fantastic Beasts' will also star Samantha Morton as Mary Lou, Jenn Murray as Chastity and Faith Wood-Blacgrove as Modesty.
Ezra Miller has previously admitted an interest in making an appearance in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them,' although he claimed that no one has contacted him about the role.
"I would appreciate it if whoever is making that movie would f--king tell me," Miller said before giving a message to the filmmakers.
"If you're reading this article right now, please let me know if I am in your film," he said. "Could I see the script, what is my character... these are things I'd like to know."
It certainly looks like Ezra Miller finally got what he was asking for.
'Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them' will be directed by 'Harry Potter' director David Yates and the screenplay will be written by J. K. Rowling. The film is scheduled for release on November 18, 2016.
