Dylan Baker From 'The Good Wife' Saves Neighbor From A Fire

Actor Dylan Baker, who is currently known from the hit drama series The Good Wife made a heroic move on Tuesday, when he tried to rescue his neighbor from a burning apartment in Manhattan, New York.

According to ABC News, the woman was eventually taken out by firefighters and she is in the hospital, unfortunately in a critical condition.

The actor told the network, "All of the sudden, the alarm went off in the hall, I went to her door and pounded on it, and called her name." He also said that he opened the door, but flames greeted him by the time he reached the kitchen area. The whole place was just filled with fire and there were smoke everywhere that prevented him to go further inside.

Entertainment Weekly said that Baker also had to take care of his family who was apparently in the same building. He had to get them out as well, luckily, firefighters arrived and did their job from there. The cause of the fire was unknown and it is still under investigation. The origin of the fire was said to have come from the kitchen of the studio apartment.

According to Fox News, the apartment was a high-rise building type and the neighbor that Dylan Baker tried to save was already of old age. It occurred on the 33rd floor of their apartment building located at West 43rd St. around 4 in the afternoon. The actor just returned home when the incident happened. After trying to save his neighbor and seeing fire everywhere, he felt the need to get his family out of the building and finally call 911. The fire was put out quickly as soon as the firefighters entered the premises.

Aside from his recurring role in The Good Wife, Dylan Baker was also seen on movies like Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3, and has a net worth of $3 million.
