Besides knowing that Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are two of today's most successful artists in the entertainment industry, the chart-topping stars have made another milestone on their respective careers after making it into the Guinness World Records 2016 book, according to the Guinness World Records website.
Ed Sheeran, who currently has the longest climb to the UK singles chart for 19 weeks, was the only artist to closely compete with Taylor Swift during this year's MTV VMAs event.
The 25-year old red-lipped superstar on the other hand, has the most million-selling weeks in the United States album charts. In fact, Swift's record albums have sold millions in just three weeks and is currently reigning in the Billboard 200 albums chart.
For the record, Taylor Swift's current album sales are held the most outstanding since the year 1991 and the records came from her three hit albums 'Speak Now', 'Red' and '1989'.
'Speak Now' which was released in 2010 sold 1.047 million units, 'Red' reached 1.208 million units in 2012 and her newest album '1989' which debuted last year, sold 1.287 million units.
While it's completely not surprising to hear about Taylor, breaking the records from time to time and hitting number 1 in the US album charts since 2010, Sheeran doesn't have the same level of success like her since his only record-breaking single that has taken the lead in the UK singles chart was his 2014's 'Thinking Out Loud'.
The two have previously worked in the past and Swift first heard of Sheeran's music while she was touring back in 2012.
Adding to this, Swift also previously admitted that she was impressed by Sheeran's talent as a lyricist and event contracted the singer to help her write her hit song "Everything Has Changed".
One Direction, Dr. Dre, PewDiePie and HBO's 'Game of Thrones' have also made it into the new Guinness World Records book.
