The superhero TV series from CBS called 'Supergirl' has just revealed an addition to their cast and this one is the much-awaited villain, Red Tomato, who will be played by actor Iddo Goldberg from another series called 'Salem'.

CarterMatt stated that his character is sure to give the storyline more color and adventure. One interesting fact that its audience would love is that his character Red Tomato and T.O. Morrow would actually be the same in the TV series. It is quite intriguing since these characters are separate in the original comic book story.

TV Line explained that the actor would not just be T.O. Morrow on TV, but he would also be the Red Tomato. Based on the network's release about the description of the villain, it says that, "Red Tomato is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate super weapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City - including the  Supergirl people care about the most."

In just a couple of months from now, fans of the superhero would finally witness what she can do and how she can make a difference as Supergirl. Christian Post reported that Red Tomato's part in the series would cause security issues in National City and would even be a threat to Supergirl's family and friends.

Another information about this villain is that in the comics, he was actually a good guy. It is interesting that the producers turned his character into someone who would cause chaos in the city, and would even fight with Supergirl.

The show also now included Jenna Dewan-Tatum, as she would play the role of Lucy Lane. Based on her last name, yes she is Lois Lane's sister.
