Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Promotes Business and Reunites Family Members

Diners are restaurants that are often decorated to mimic the 1950's. They contain juke boxes, wall paper with classic stars such as Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. They often have red bar stools and a menu with classic American favorites like apple pie, burgers and milkshakes. Their laidback atmosphere makes them a popular spot for families to enjoy.

The Food Network's, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives follows host, Guy Fieri traveling around the country in search of finding the best diners, drive-ins and dives. Guy goes to different restaurants sampling the foods and occasionally explains how to properly serve the dish being cooked. Fieri exudes a likable, energetic personality. His casual clothing, bleached hair and earrings add edginess to his image. It seems to be working.

On a recent video posted on their website, Fieri visited Blue Moon, a café in Baltimore that is known for serving unique dishes like Red Velvet Pancakes, Frito Pie French Toast and Captain Crunch French Toast. The owner is Sarah Simington, a tattooed, brunette with a big personality. She told Guy that because she was on the show, her estranged father's family contacted her and now she has a whole new family. She also thanked him because since the first time she was on the show, her business has tripled.

On another video, Guy gives watchers tips on how to prepare Cajun Chicken Alfredo. He explained all the different spices used to creating that perfect crust for the chicken. He also described the key components to making flavorful pork and chicken is brining it. This is when one adds kosher salt, white wine, onions and fresh cracked pepper along with one gallon of water to place the chicken in 24 hours before preparing it.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives currently airs on The Food Network at 10pm on Monday evenings. It is a show the entire family can enjoy and learn a thing or two about comfort cooking. One may even see a familiar restaurant in their neighborhood on the show. The shows website offers people recipes, photos and additional videos to enjoy.
