The English film director and producer Ridley Scott, clearly said that his upcoming project after The Martian of Matt Damon is the sequel of Prometheus.
Director Ridley Scott said, "I was starting to look for locations for my next movie," "which was Prometheus 2."
The movie Prometheus is like the pseudo-prequel to the franchise of the Alien. The cast of Prometheus are Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace (rose to fame when she portrayed Lisbeth Salander in the Millennium series: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).
The plot of the film consists of a team of explorers desiring to uncover clues to mankind's origins on Earth.
Director Ridley Scott showed much interest in the recent months to helm Prometheus 2. The production of the film is slated to begin early in 2016, and the Empire director is confirmed what he's up to next.
As Matt Damon talked about the inherent features of his character in The Martian, Damon expressed warm admirations to Ridley Scott for his "performance," as Scott twist the story of the movie into an exciting adventure.
Matt Damon said, "It's an illusion that I'm carrying the movie," Damon also said, "It's actually all down to Ridley, it really is. I'll get a lot of the credit for what he did because he's got to keep the audience with just one actor up there, he's got to keep you involved and keep the story going. It really was the reason I wanted to do it."
Scott also stated, "We discussed, quite in depth, the fact that the story would have to be told, to a large extent, with a lot of voice-over, and that's a challenge for Matt, because voice-over can easily become elongated and boring, but I think in this he's succeeded brilliantly by incorporating humor," and Scott added, "The GoPro cameras became his only companion. The GoPro would be everywhere in that habitat, to act as a sort of black box, recording everything if something goes wrong."
