'Bourne 5': Matt Damon Reveals More Details About Upcoming Movie

Matt Damon will once again be seen in a Hollywood film as the amnesiac spy Jason Bourne in the upcoming movie Bourne 5. The award winning actor is coming back to his blockbuster role after eight years since The Bourne Ultimatum in 2007.

The highly anticipated film will be centered on Jason Bourne and issues about spying, civil liberties and democracy. The shooting for the film will begin next week.

Matt Damon who will be playing the role for the fourth time has revealed few details about the storyline of the fifth movie of the Bourne series. The 44-year-old actor provided some general information about the real world matters that Jason Bourne will face.

"Without giving too much of it away, it's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world. It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy," Damon revealed.

The famous actor and the director of Bourne Supremacy, and Bourne Ultimatum Paul Greengrass always wanted to create a movie sequel about politics following the Ultimatum. The considered the previous movies as really about the presidency of Bush.

Damon revealed that the first film location will be Greece since it is where democracy began. The country's current financial crisis may be included in the movie. The actor-screenwriter also gave a puzzle which to make fans watch out for the coming movie. He states, "And the movie ends in Las Vegas, the most grotesque incarnation of...."

Damon left the sentence unfinished, which made fans guess which institution will be dismantled by Bourne in the movie.

In Bourne 5, Nicky Parsons, the character played by Julia Stiles will also be revived. Tommy Jones and Alicia Vikander signed a role for the film. However, the lead actor of The Bourne Legacy Jeremy Renner will not be part of the film.

Damon and Greengrass will work together to direct the film including Frank Marshall, Ben Smith and Greg Goodman.

Bourne 5 will be in theaters on July 29, 2016.
