Daniele Watts of Django Unchained, Ordered by Court to Perform Community Service

After a year long court battle, Daniele Watts was sentenced to 15 days of community labor and 2 years of probation . The court's decision came out on Wednesday, August 26.

The 29 year old star of 'Django Unchained', will be doing community work together with her boyfriend Brian Lucas after the judge ruled her apology letter to LAPD as "insincere and passive aggressive".Watt's was given  a chance to rewrite her letter early this month to avoid disciplinary measures.

Daniele Watt and Brian Lucas were charged for committing lewd acts and disturbing peace.

The couple were detained in September of last year, after police investigated on a call they received through 911, saying that there was a couple "making out" in the premises of the CBS parking lot. They were creating a lot of noise that disturbed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.

When the police found them as reported, it was said, that the officer had to go after Daniele and handcuffed her after she refused to identify herself and tried to walk away from the scene.

She instead accused Sgt. Jim Parker, the officer who arrested her for "profiling" her, because she, a black woman was with a white man. Brian Lucas, her boyfriend is white. Further, implying that they actually arrested her thinking she was a prostitute.

The LAPD officer released a recording to counter her claims but was put under disciplinary action for his deed.

This is what Parker of the LAPD told The Wrap in an interview "I've been placed in what's called the 'penalty box.' I can't wear a uniform, I can't be on patrol and I can have no civilian contact. I've got more charges against me than she has against her. I'm in shock at what happened to me."

He chose to retire after 26 years of being in the service.

The couple still thinks the judge's sentence was not fair. But made this statement, "I lost my cool. I could have been more kind to the officer -- and I get punished for that," Watts said. "I get punished because they don't believe my apology."
