Daft Punk and 'Star Wars' finally collide in an impressive fan-made music video starring Darth Vader and Bobba Fett!
The music video has been uploaded on Youtube by InfectiousDesigner, who creates "independent short films inspired by video games and science fiction." The video was directed by Brian Curtin, who has teased about the release of 'Darth Punk - The Force Awakens' a full week before it was finally uploaded.
A short description of the music video reads as follows:
"One day Vader and Fett will recruit for the the dark side, disguised as an electronic music duo... they will be arresting ears and administering intergalactic rhythm and beats. The Rebels won't stand a chance. This is their music video, featuring 'Dj Gonk.'"
'Darth Punk - The Funk Awakens' stars Matt Powell as Daft Vader and Walt Thomas as Boba Funk. According to the comments on the music video, the actors have been wearing their costumes to DragonCon.
InfectiousDesigner reveals some information about the props in the music video's comment section.
"Most of it is custom made," he wrote. "Helmets molded, chromed, wired with leds. You can see some of the first versions of the outfits on our Facebook page. The helmets were spray painted gold and silver, they look horrible compared to the chrome. All of it is very fragile, especially the lights shoes."
Darth Vader and Bobba Fett may soon be making a comeback in the upcoming 'Star Wars' movies. There were reports that Darth Vader will play a key role in the first standalone film 'Star Wars: Rogue One,' which takes place a few years prior to the events in 'Episode IV - A New Hope.'
Bobba Fett also has a surprising connection to 'Rogue One.' According to speculations, the main protagonist of the film, who will be played by actress Felicity Jones, is actually the Bounty Hunter's daughter. Lucasfilm had no comment on the rumors.
