Hollywood stars will eat well at this year's 70th Golden Globes, thanks to Beverly Hilton Executive Chef Suki Sugiura. Joining powers with Pastry Chef Thomas Henzi, the two have created a smorgasbord fit for one of the hottest events in Tinseltown, slated for Sunday, January 13:
APPETIZER
Grilled Artichoke with Fennel Tomato Lemon Mousse
&
California Pepper Honey Goat Cheese on Endive Pear Salad
MAIN COURSE
Smoked Flat Iron Steak with Sweet Pickled Mini Pepper
&
California Olive-Orange Marinated Pacific Sea Bass with Caramelized Mint Fennel
DESSERT TRIO
Cappuccino Mousse Dome,
Orange Sanguine &
Chocolate Salted Caramel
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association put up scrumptious pictures of the food on the Golden Globes website. And in case you are dying to recreate the experience at home, the Beverly Hilton was kind enough to provide the recipes for the meal.
Chef Sugiura credits the "California experience" and the "global experience" as inspiration for the menu. He says that in order to do so, food should be both "tasty" as well as "colorful."
Sugiura and Henzi will be flanked by 40 additional chefs and over 100 kitchen staff to help keep the hungry actors and actresses fed. They'll need all the help they can get, as over 1,000 guests are expected to eat.
Stars and starlets alike will be in a good mood, thanks to the bottomless 2004 Grand Vintage Moët et Chandon champagne that will be flowing at their tables. Over 6,000 champagne flutes are prepared for the golden ceremonies.
