Racial Restaurant Receipt Calls Customers 'You Fu**ing Mexicans' [VIDEO + REPORT]

A racially-discriminating restaurant receipt shocked a couple dining at a Denver restaurant on Friday. The racial restaurant receipt read "You fu**ing Mexicans."

The couple who ate at the El Valle Mexican Restaurant isn't alone. This kind of thing has happened before throughout the United States, with restaurant staff writing ugly words on the receipts of their customers.

Now, the racial restaurant receipt took place at 2925 W. 38th Ave. in Denver. The 15-year family-owned Mexican restaurant is accused by the Mexican couple as being racist, reported Aol.com.

Beatriz Castorena, who is from Denver, was about to pay for her and her husband's meal at El Valle Mexican Restaurant on Friday when she saw her server had written "you fu**ing Mexicans" on her bill. When she pointed out the comment to their waitress, the server simply told her "Oh. Ha! How funny."

"Funny? That's not funny. That's not funny at all," Castorena asid she told the server, while being interviewed by Fox 31.

According to 9News, in defense, El Valle Mexican Restaurant said the racial restaurant receipt was a playful message meant for the cooks at the back and not at the Denver couple. It somehow made its way to the couple accidentally.

Meanwhile, Castonera's posted the receipt on El Valle's Facebook page. As a result, the restaurant received comments and complaints by the hundreds.

"No way was it intended for them or to them or no way reflects what we believe because obviously we are all Mexican or we are Mexico born," said Oscar Rivera, the son of El Valle's owner, explaining that the incident had been a misunderstanding.

Cook Chu Rodriguez who works at the establishment, said that the bill was meant for him.

"That message was directed at me because that's how we act amongst each other. That's how we are as Mexicans," he said.

Later on, Castonera went back to the restaurant asking for an apology and an explanation. The restaurant gave her the former and refunded her meal as well, according to Food Beast.

"She's Mexican. I'm Mexican. She shouldn't have wrote that. She could have apologized. She (the owner) said it was meant for the cook. I don't care. It was on my check," she said.

All employees at El Valle are Mexican, as well as most of their clientele. According to The Daily Mail, the restaurant's staff has now been told to stop making such jokes. The establishment added that the waitress who served the couple have quit out of embarrassment.
