'Warcraft' Star Toby Kebbell In Talks To Star In 'Kong: Skull Island' With Tom Hiddleston

English actor Toby Kebbell has already played a bonobo in 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' but how will he stack up against the King of the Apes?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Toby Kebbell is currently in negotiations to star in the monster film 'Kong: Skull Island.' If a deal is made, the 33-year-old actor, who has previously appeared as Victor von Doom in the recent 'Fantastic Four' reboot, would be featured alongside 'Crimson Peak' star Tom Hiddleston, 'Trainwreck' actress Brie Larson and 'Straight Outta Compton's' Corey Hawkins.

Toby Kebbell made his film debut in the 2004 psychological thriller 'Dead Man Shoes,' where his performance earned him a nomination for the British Independents Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer.

He later played Joy Division band manager Rob Gretton in the Ian Curtis biopic 'Control,' a role that helped him win the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Even if Toby Kebbell decides not to appear in 'Kong: Skull Island,' the actor seems to have a very busy future. He will portray the Orcish Chieftain Durotan in the upcoming 'Warcraft' movie, and is currently shooting for the epic remake 'Ben-Hur.' Kebbell is also working the film adaptation of the Patrick Ness novel 'A Monster Calls.'

'Kong: Skull Island' has had some trouble getting actors to stay with the project. The movie had lost J.K. Simmons and Michael Keaton after the filming schedule was delayed. However, the monster flick has continued looking for replacements, reportedly reaching out to Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly and Tom Wilkinson to fill the vacated roles.

The film has recently gained a screenwriter in Derek Connolly, who has worked with Colin Trevorrow on the dinosaur sequel 'Jurassic World.' 'Kong: Skull Island' is set to start shooting in Hawaii by late October, and is scheduled for release on March 10, 2017.
