Joseph Gordon-Levitt is now a dad! US Weekly reports the Snowden actor welcomed his first baby boy with wife Tasha McCauley on August 15.

"Everyone's happy and healthy," the insider revealed.

This is another surprise as the super private lovers kept their pregnancy a secret. Last year, people were shocked (and some hearts were broken) when the genius behind the collaborative production company HitRECord.Org quietly tied the knot with the CEO of a technology company, Fellow Robots. Both said their "I do's" on December 20 in a private ceremony at the couple's home.

Another source told US how the 500 Days of Summer actor fell in love with his wife, revealing "she's very intellectual and a creator, which he finds very attractive."

"You can tell he adores her," the source added. "She's beautiful and smart. Really one of those full package girls." McCauley also speaks three languages aside from being the co-founder of a NASA-based robotics company. "It's a really healthy and normal relationship."

The Don Jon star has always kept mum about his personal life and rarely opened up about his then unnamed girlfriend. He only spoke about dating somebody in an interview with Howard Stern in 2013.   

"I think I'm a pretty good person and a good boyfriend. Yeah, I just wouldn't want to be with someone who was disrespectful to me," the actor shared. "[She's] not in show business." The couple started dating in 2013 after meeting through their mutual friends.  

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is definitely overjoyed about being a father as he also told Stern about his dreams of raising a family.

"I think that I could partner up with somebody - I don't know who that somebody is - I could partner up with a woman and commit to we're going to raise a family and that's a project we're going to commit to for 20-something years," he said. "I like to not be too committed to any one future that's really far away, necessarily, unless there's a reason, which is why I'm saying if you're gonna raise a family...I can make that commitment."
