Square Enix has released a mobile port of Final Fantasy VII for iPhone and iPad devices. The mobile version of the role playing game which is now in the New Zealand App Store is a 1.5 GB download that cost of $19.99 NZD.
Users will be required to have a 4 GB storage space to avail the video game. To enjoy the game, iOS 8 is also required. The company hinted the players that the game works best on any third-generation iPad or later version, on iPad mini 2 and on iPhone 5s or any latest version. Those who have older iPhones and iPads will not be privileged to experience the action game.
Square Enix gave players an early warning about the possible problems that they might experience.
"Please be aware that users may experience problems, such as exceptionally slow running speeds, if running this application on [older] devices. Such devices are not suited to playing this game and there is a chance of unforeseen errors occurring if running it on them."
The new mobile port of the Final Fantasy VII for iOS is entirely based on the PC version of the game. Gamers who tried the game on PC can only expect similar graphics quality and storyline. But the company made a few changes which include the ability to turn off random encounters. The players can simply skip the part of the game where they have random encounters with their enemies.
Another new added feature is the 'Max Stats' command that allows users to get useful cheat code that will help them win the battle. However, the option is only good for those who want a quick and easy escape.
The video game developed by Square Enix which sold more than 11 million copies was originally made in 1997. The company has earlier announced at the E3 that it will be remaking the game for PlayStation 4.
Some have already acquired a copy of the game, while others still have to wait to avail of the RPG.
