Hulk Hogan, the sort-of-retired wrestler, is opening a restaurant on New Year’s Eve on Florida's Gulf Coast. The 20,000-square-foot, waterfront restaurant is called "Hogan's Beach" and is set to open New Year's Eve on the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Hogan told the Tampa Bay Times that the place is going to be "Jimmy Buffet's [Margaritaville] times 10, Hooters times 10. It's a logical extension of the Hogan brand, with my image and likeness.” According to chef Robert Uzzillia, Hogan “didn't want to cheese it up on the menu. So we stayed away from crazy wrestling terms."
According to Huffingtonpost, there's no word yet on what the waitstaff will wear, but Hogan revealed that the restaurant will feature a mechanical shark ride, volleyball courts, fire pits, cabanas and tiki huts.
Hogan's Beach is not the Hogan’s first restaurant business. He once owned a short-lived joint called "Pasta Mania" in Minnesota's Mall of America.
