Everyone's lives got a little bit better after the 2015 edition of Disney's D3 Expo, not only because of all the news regarding the fantastic stuff the studio has coming up (including more about Marvel and even "Star Wars"), but also because one of the most beloved characters of recent times, Jack Sparrow 2015, got to meet the ultimate action hero.
Visiting the expo to discuss the next "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, Johnny Depp went there in full Captain Jack Sparrow 2015 costume to drunkenly slur his lines to the amusement of everyone, but there was one unexpected guest that made the whole thing a million times better: Harrison Ford.
According to Yahoo! News, two of the most beloved anti-heroes of all time were face to face for the first time, as Jack Sparrow's 2015 appearance at D3 was met with a handshake from Han Solo himself, Mr. Ford.
Of course, as CNN reports, both Depp and Ford were there to promote the latest films of their respective franchises, with Depp teasing the 2017 film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" and Ford speaking about this year's "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens," but nobody expected the amazing Jack Sparrow 2015 appearance.
In fact, Ford was a surprise in the convention as well, obviously met with cheers by fans of George Lucas' tales from a galaxy far, far away; and as soon as he came up to greet Jack Sparrow 2015 and someone was smart enough to take a few snaps, obviously the image went viral.
'I'm very happy, yesterday following in the footsteps of George Lucas, the author of the early chapters of my story," said Ford to the audience, according to The Daily Mail. 'I'm delighted to be here with JJ and this wonderful cast, and Disney who have supported this effort in an extraordinary way. It's a great thrill to be here with you, you have made this whole thing happen. I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much."
Unfortunately, Ford wasn't himself in full costume as one of his more iconic roles, neither Indiana Jones nor Han Solo, but the latter, something of a space pirate in the original films, would have been a perfect match for Captain Jack Sparrow in 2015.
