Taylor Swift never misses a show from her 1989 World Tour without giving her fans a surprise treat. On Saturday, August 15, the 25-year old singer-songwriter performed her song "Never Grow Up" for the first time on the tour, which she dedicated to her new godson, reports say.
Swift has been named as a godmother to the son of her model-actress friend, Jaime King, named Leo Thames. She met her godson three weeks ago and hinted that her song "Never Grow Up" has brought a whole new meaning to her.
"I wrote it when I was like 18 or 19, but my friend just had a baby and she made me godmother of it and I was holding this little baby the other night, and I was just thinking differently," Swift said.
She went on saying, "When you're holding onto something that's so innocent and so perfect and has no idea what's coming for it with the world. The world is going to throw so many things at you as we grow up."
Jaime King, 36, who just gave birth in late July, was not in attendance to personally witness Swift's performance, but she was able to see a clip of Swift's dedication for her son.
King later shared her happiness on Twitter, writing, "This is so beautiful Tay - Leo Thames is so blessed."
Besides performing "Never Grow Up" during Saturday's show, the "Bad Blood" singer also brought the girl group Little Mix on stage to sing their hit track "Black Magic".
The surprise treats to the fans did not stop there, from 'Never Grow Up' to 'Little Mix', big-named stars Julia Roberts and Joan Baez also graced the stage with Taytay as they swayed to the beats of her hit single "Style".
