Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet has reportedly married her fiancé Ned RocknRoll in New York at a secret ceremony without the knowledge of their parents.
Kate's friend and "Titanic" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio gave the bride away at a private ceremony attended by just six friends from each side, including the actress' children Mia and Joe, from her previous marriages to film directors Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes, reported The Sun.
"Kate and Ned got married in a really romantic and private ceremony. They had been planning it for a while. They are both so happy and very much in love. Kate is very private and didn't want anyone to know. She asked if Leo would give her away because they are best friends," The Sun quoted a source as saying.
"Kate has never looked so happy. Since she and Ned got together it has been full steam ahead. Marriage has always been on the cards and they've been talking about doing it for the last couple of months,"added a friend.
The Sun also reported that Ned's uncle Sir Richard Branson, founder and chairman of Virgin Group, has rewarded Kate with a space trip as a wedding gift for rescuing his 90-year-old mum Eve after his Necker Island home caught fire last year.
The newly-weds will join the 60-mile high club on a Virgin Galactic flight scheduled for next year. The trip is a two-hour flight to 60 miles above earth where passengers will experience weightlessness and see Earth's curve, reported The Sun magazine.
Branson's space company Virgin Galactic is planning a commercial flight to space next year and a ticket will cost £124,000.
The 37-year-old actress secretly got engaged to Ned this summer after dating for a year. she was earlier married to director Jim Threapleton and has a daughter (Mia Honey Threapleton) with him but they got divorced in 2001. She then married film director Sam Mendes in 2003 but parted ways in 2010. They have a son (Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes) together.
