Jason Derulo And Staff Kicked Off Plane After Bodyguard Argued With Airline Employee

Jason Derulo's trip to Los Angeles was delayed and he almost did not make it to the city when he and his staff were kicked off their flight Saturday, August 15,  according to reports.

The chart-topping singer and his whole team were refused on board a Southwest Airlines flight after one of his bodyguards argued with one of the employees. The argument was allegedly about the airline employee refusing his staff preferred boarding on the flight from Reno to L.A.

One onlooker who happened to witness the whole scenario, said that the singer and his team apparently got irritated and shouted at the employee.

Apparently, despite being not allowed to go on the flight, Jason Derulo's crew still managed to go up the aircraft. This pushed employees to call airport security and escorted them off the plane.

The "Trumpet" singer could still go on board, but he later changed his mind and decided to take a private jet as he needed to meet his get to his commitments in L.A.

A source said that Derulo's team later requested for airport security but was reportedly denied by the airline employees. "They believed they were being treated unfairly. When they voiced their concerns to the airline they were told they could not fly," the insider added.

Southwest Airlines later released a statement which explained that Derulo's staff was removed from the flight as they refused to follow the strict boarding procedures. The airline also mentioned that many other passengers complained about the rude behavior of his crew.

"Our crew, responsible for the Safety and comfort of all customers on board, attempted to diffuse the situation; ultimately, local authorities were called and the decision was made to deny boarding to the group. The group sought alternate transportation and their tickets were refunded."

Jason Derulo shared his awful experience through a short-video clip posted on his Instagram page. He said "I had to fire my travel agent for booking me somewhere I wasn't supposed to be. But now we're here, we're good."
