All Morton's Steakhouses Offers $1 Filet Mignon Sandwiches on Thursday

It appears there is a "national day" for just about everything, so in celebration of National Filet Mignon Day, Morton's The Steakhouse will be offering an awesome deal for its customers - a $1 price tag for a petite filet mignon slider.

The day may be unknown to many, fortunately Morton's recognizes the national day and has made it special for filet mignon lovers.

The deal will be available at Morton's steakhouse all day Thursday, August 13. A mere dollar can now allow customers a taste of the sumptuous filet mignon sandwiches in the steak house's bar area.

Considered a high-end steakhouse chain, Morton's has 73 locations nationwide. The offer of $1 "petite" filet sandwiches in the bar area will be available from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday, until supplies last. All Morton's The Steakhouse restaurants across the US will be participating in the National Filet Mignon Day celebration offer, according to Food Beast.

According to The Charlotte Observer, Morton's news release described the new experience saying:

"Enjoy a first class experience without the first class price tag."

Other items at the bar menu will reportedly be sold at regular price, ranging from iceberg wedge bites to parmesan truffle matchstick fries.

According to The Sacramento Bee, Morton's in Sacramento is located inside the U.S. Bank building at 621 Capitol Mall, with contact number 916-442-5091. Their website is www.mortons.com.

Filet mignon is the French term for "tender fillet." The delicious meal is made from the narrow end of beef tenderloin. Filet mignon has been made notable due to its tenderness, much more so for its cost, therefore making the special offer by Morton's a great deal. Because of the leanness of filet mignon, it lacks flavour, which is why it's often comes with a rich sauce, or is wrapped in bacon, a common technique practiced since the 1950s and 60s.
