It was Saturday morning when Annie Lennox's daughter, Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann went kayaking with her boyfriend Ian Jones. The couple's kayak was capsized in New York City's Hudson River.
Although 22-year-old Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann was found and rescued, the search for her 32-year-old boyfriend has is still ongoing. The search, which was done over the weekend, included a New York State Police helicopter and several police officers on boats and on foot.
According to E! News, police claims that both Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann and Ian Jones were located near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site when the kayak was capsized at around 9:30AM.
The couple was separated after hitting the water. Luckily for Annie Lennox's daughter, a passing vessel was able to find and rescue Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann.
As the investigation continues, the police remains clear that the accident seems to be far from any criminal activity. No foul play has also been found.
Unfortunately, it has also been discovered that Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann and her boyfriend, Ian Jones, were not wearing life vests at the time of the accident.
However, Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Captain John Watterson also told local reported that "alcohol may have played a role" in Ian Jones' disappearance. In addition, weather reports also show that strong currents were existent during the weekend.
Anyone with information about Ian Jones - "a white male, approx. 6'3" with a slim build, dark hair, wearing jeans and a denim shirt," as per police description - is advised to contact the Dutchess County Sheriff as soon as possible.
