Fast & Furious 8: Can It Live Up to Furious 7 After Paul Walker's Death?

As the character of Paul Walker (Brian O'Conner)  was not killed in "Furious 7," it has been said that the plot of the Fast & Furious sequel will begin anew. The CGI (Computer-generated imagery) version of Paul Walker in the eighth installment will no longer be used, and it will not need the presence of the American actress and model Jordan Brewster, the on-screen wife of Brian O'Connor.

As the scenes of Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 7 was finished using CGI and his brother Cody. Cody Walker is said to replace his brother in Fast and Furious 8.

The American film producer, Neal H. Moritz said, "Unfortunately, we don't have Paul anymore. His character... has moved on," Moritz also said, "But we feel like there's a lot still to be mind. That's where we're restarting. We're really talking about the characters, where they all sit right now. It's a huge challenge."

Vin Diesel announced that the Fast & Furious 8 movie is scheduled to have its world premiere on April 17, 2017.

Vin Diesel celebrated the Fast & Furious 8 News and all things about the fast and furious franchise, Vin Diesel posted an image of him and Kurt Russell from Fast & Furious 7 to declare August 5 as "Toretto Tuesday" - that might got the possibility of Mr. Nobody to return in Fast and Furious 8.

Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw will appear in Fast & Furious 8. Deckard is the brother of Fast & Furious 6 villain Owen Shaw - played by Luke Evans.

Neal Moritz said, "We're trying to do what we always do, which is try to come at it from a character point of view and figure out where the characters would go from here." Moritz also said, "I think the thing that's made 'The Fast and the Furious' special is obviously we have incredible action and so on. But the thing that people relate to the most is the character. We're lucky that we have a lot of great characters."
