John Stamos admited he tried to get Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, fired from 'Full House.'
While promoting his upcoming Fox comedy 'Grandfathered' in Beverly Hills, Stamos admitted that he tried to fire the Olsen twins.
He says that the Olsen twins are difficult to work with. They are having a hard time to get the right shots. As the twins are not comfortable enough on stage, Stamos complains, "How do you expect to get through an entire season?"
"The Olsen twins cried a lot [as babies], it was very difficult to get the shot," the actor explained to the Television Critics Association summer press tour audience on Thursday. "That was 100 percent accurate. I said get rid of these kids, and they brought in a couple unattractive redheaded kids."
Apparently, he realized the decision was a big mistake. Replacing the Olsen twins with other actors are making things worse, so decided to bring back Mary Kate and Ashley on stage.
The actor said, "We tried that for a while and that didn't work, so I said get the Olsen twins back - that's the story."
The Grandfathered actor also says he "find a sense of humor" surrounding 'Full House.'
"I find sense of humor in all of it. There's also an off-Broadway musical they're doing, I think it's National Lampoon. Perez Hilton's playing Bob Saget, I find a lot of humor in that."
According to Gossip Cop, Stamos is currently producing the Netflix sequel 'Fuller House,' the Olsen twins haven't signed any contracts yet to be part of the new sequel.
The Olsens are reportedly "in the dark about the project," but Stamos already discussed the latest project to the twins, which they eventually turned down completely.
The Netflix's head told the TCA panel last week that they are still "teetering" on their return.
