Having rockstar parents typically comes with privilege, entitlement, outrageous wealth and perks.
But it can now also have its downfalls if these parents are let loose on social media, something highlighted by Zoe Kravitz and Chelsea Tyler when they were forced to endure their parents discussing Lenny Kravitz’s penis on Twitter after it made a surprise appearance on stage during a gig on Monday.
It seems like a good sense of humor runs in the Kravitz family.
One day after rocker Lenny Kravitz's pants split open at a concert in Sweden, revealing his genitals to the entire world, his daughter has addressed the incident dubbed "penisgate".
Steven Tyler's daughter Chelsea was the first one to let Zoe know that their dads were talking about Lenny’s wardrobe malfunction, when she texted her “So our dad’s talking about dicks on social media is cool.” An embarrassed Zoe replied “What?! Oh no.. Twitter?” and “Oh God…” Then after learning what had happened, she replied,”Hahha #penisgate”.
Just to show her good humor about the situation, she captioned the pic #rockoutwithyourcockout.
Lenny Kravitz had gone commando when his trousers split midway through a performance, prompting the ‘Fly-Away’ singer to cover up that region with his guitar and edge off stage.
The following day, Kravitz posted a screengrab from his phone showing a text he received from Steven Tyler immediately after the show, in which he expressed disappointment he had never gotten to see that side of him before.
“Dude… No underwear and pierced…” Steven Tyler texted Lenny. “F*** me.. You never showed me that s**t.”
Now his 26-year-old daughter Zoe, the lead singer of band Lolawolf, has shared her own text message exchange with Tyler's actress daughter, Chelsea, also 26.
While fathers can be embarrassing enough as it is, the two women had to deal with how their famous dads were talking about penises in front of millions of people on social media.
