After thirteen years of marriage and three kids together, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale divorce is reportedly not just a rumor.
TMZ first broke the news on Monday, referring to divorce documents filed by the 'No Doubt' songstress. Stefani filed documents to end their union citing “irreconcilable differences” on Monday, August 3.
The Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale divorce is a complete shocker considering that the power couple have been going strong for so long.
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," the couple said in a statement. "To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale divorce may not be as messy as other celebrity's as both Gwen and Gavin have reportedly asked for joint custody of their three kids, 8-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma, and 1-year-old Apollo.
Unfortunately, there is reportedly no prenup, meaning California’s 50/50 community property law will take precedence.
Gwen is reportedly worth $100 million, while Gavin’s net worth is an estimated $35 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Gwen checked the box to terminate Gavin's ability for spousal support.
Stefani recently gushed about her husband in Cosmopolitan's March issue, telling the mag, "I never really saw myself landing a guy that hot. I don't know if I was a nerd in high school, but I definitely wasn't the super-cute cheerleader so I never saw myself getting somebody like that."
But there had been rumors that the couple was splitting before, yet Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale divorce is now official. Gavin allegedly cheated on Gwen with the kids’ nanny in 2012, however there was no truth found behind that.
Even months after Gwen and Gavin welcomed Apollo in 2014, a report claimed that the once strong couple had fallen out of love.
