HBO's True Detective is finally getting a lot of action this time that it's leaving a lot of its viewers speechless and surprised. The shocking new episode left a lot of people shocked, especially after seeing the character of Paul Woodrugh (played by Taylor Kitsch) dead on the ground as the show closed its episode. E! Online described it as messy, confusing but definitely intriguing at the same time.
Paul's death is among the highlights of why the show became sad on this particular episode. Being gay made him ashamed of who he is and having a pregnant girlfriend just made it all messed up. But to top all the chaos happening to him, he even got involved in a murder case resulting to him robbing some of the scariest and powerful people in the story. Eventually he also found himself being blackmailed with photos of him and Miguel being intimate. Apparently, the blackmail's purpose is to have the papers he stole returned after last episode's horrifying party.
After showing up to deal with that person blackmailing him, he found out that Miguel was a part of it as he also works for the Catalyst Group the entire time. It was a series of unfortunate event for Paul's character and it didn't even end there. He also found himself in a tunnel speaking with men who are also creepy in nature, as he pretended to turn in Ani (played by Rachel McAdams) and Ray (played by Colin Farrell) for him to return the said documents he stole the last time.
There were exchange of gunshots from that scene and he managed to get away from it by using Miguel as a shield from all those bullets. He almost made it but unfortunately, Lt. Burris was at the end of the tunnel waiting for him with a gun as well.
Catch True Detective on HBO and see if for some miracle, Paul's character made it back to life.
