Richard Lee, a conspiracy theorist who has focused on the highly controversial Kurt Cobain death for the past two decades, is currently suing the city of Seattle as well as its police department over the rocker's passing in 1994, trying to move forward what many deem a lost cause as it is.

In the lawsuit regarding Kurt Cobain's death, Lee claimed the Nirvana frontman didn't kill himself but was actually murdered, asking for the release of the graphic pictures of the death scene, although his widow Courtney Love (whom many fans blame for Kurt's death) and their only daughter Frances Bean Cobain are doing everything in their power to stop this from happening.

According to The Daily Mail, Lee claimed that Kurt Cobain's death photos would give the world evidence of his claims of murder, which he says was a major plot involving government officials who were out to get the grunge icon.

Last Friday, King County (Seattle) Superior Court Judge Theresa Doyle was faced with Love and Frances Bean's request to keep Kurt Cobain's death photos from being released and, as Gigwise reports, Justice Doyle ended up siding with the rocker's family, who claimed this was a major invasion of privacy, with Ms. Cobain recounting stories of how Nirvana fans had stalked her in the past, including how a man broke into her California home and waited for her for three days to tell speak to Frances Bean about her father.

According to The Daily Beast, Kurt Cobain's death has been Lee's obsession or a long time, and he's even behind a public television show called "Now See It Person to Person: Kurt Cobain Was Murdered," where he films around relevant locations in Seattle to try to uncover the so-called mysteries behind the legendary rocker's last days.

The publications refers to Lee as being "totally bonkers" as he explains more and more complex theories behind Kurt Cobain's death.
