Hugh Jackman Wolverine: ‘Les Miserables’ Actor Wants Fans Participating On Final Logan Appearance After ‘Deadpool’

Since arguably Sean Connery's James Bond, there has been no actor as associated with a character after playing it for years than Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, having debuted on the role in 2000 with the film "X-Men" - now, as the end of an era approaches, the Oscar nominee wants fans to weigh in on ideas for the beloved character.

Through his Twitter, the Australian actor shared a snap of the look of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine for the sequel to the 2013 film "The Wolverine," his last time on the role that's made him one of the most iconic superhero actors, being around before Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark/Iron Man or Chris Hemsworth's Thor.

"My last time putting on the claws," the actor tweeted, posting the first Hugh Jackman Wolverine snap for the upcoming film, set for a spring 2017 release. "What do you want to see happen? 50 words or less. I'll read as many as I can."

According to Comic Book Resources, the reactions were fast, as comic book fans quickly demanded things like seeing Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (both franchises technically belong to the same universe, but "X-Men" is owned by Fox instead of Marvel-Disney), the classic Wolverine costume (a yellow leotard), R-Rating and battling The Hulk or Deadpool.

Coming Soon reports that one of the more popular requests, seeing Hugh Jackman's Wolverine involved in the "Old Man Logan" storyline, could actually be fairly accurate, as the actor himself hinted during Comic-Con that it may become a reality on the big screen soon.

Wolverine was last seen in the 2014 film "X-Men: Days of Future Past," starring Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult; it's rumored that, besides the "Wolverine" sequel, he might make an appearance in next year's "X-Men: Apocalypse" as well as "Deadpool."

In any case, as Slash Film reports, the last Hugh Jackman Wolverine film will be released in March 2017, with James Mangold returning to direct.
