The Mexican film director, screenwriter, producer, and novelist Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima continue to work together on another project without being affected by the cancellation of the Silent Hills. The cinematic maestro director Del Toro revealed that he is still in communication with Hideo Kojima (a Japanese video game designer, writer, and producer originally employed at Konami).
The news of a partnership between Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro has been sought after by people, as they are the two of the most beloved creators in their field and both get huge respect for their craft.
Guillermo Del Toro stated, "I love working with Kojima-san. We are still in touch. We are still friends and working into doing something together, but that's not going to be (Silent Hills). We were in the planning stages, and it's a shame it's not going to happen," del Toro also said, "We were talking about really pushing the boundaries of the new consoles, and making the game really mess with your head. One of the great moments in Metal Gear (Solid) was Psycho Mantis. The idea that a game can actually interact with you, and stuff like that."
The Mexican film director del Toro said he was surprised by Konami's "scorched earth approach. It was not a gentle and ambiguous cancellation."
Konami announced that Silent Hills will not take place at the end of April without a statement to make things clear. Also, P.T. (a Playable Teaser is a first-person survival horror video game directed by Hideo Kojima and developed by Kojima Productions) was subsequently removed from the PlayStation Store and those who had acquired it earlier can't redownload it anymore.
Kojima Productions earlier this month , said that the Japanese-language voice actor for Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain "got dissolved."
After the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One then we will know what Kojima and del Toro could be doing together.
