The Shocking Truth About How Much Food Americans Are Wasting According to John Oliver

TV host John Oliver was shocked on how much food Americans are wasting in a year, as it was recorded to be around $165. Oliver is the host of HBO's "Last Week Tonight" and it was on Sunday that he was appalled on his show after learning the amount of food wasted by his fellow Americans that he tried to educate everyone during his segment.

USA Today reported Oliver's reaction on his show as he told the public that 40% of all food in the US are actually not being eaten while 50 million families in the country are actually experiencing food scarcity. Oliver made a joke saying,  "At this rate, in 40 years when you order pizza from Domino's, they'll just deliver it straight to the nearest dumpster. As they should, but that's not the point here."

It is a huge wake up call for Americans these days that it doesn't matter how if they are attentive on how they deal with their food, Oliver's analysis and report is indeed something people should think about.

Huffington Post also analyzed what Oliver said and it is looking like Americans are wasting food amounting to 730 football stadiums. This is massive and it is a serious issue that people should really look into. Oliver also compared this issue to the band Rascall Flatts. He said that it can fill surprising number of stadiums even though most people consider it complete garbage.

He was really preaching a lot about the food his fellow Americans are wasting on a daily basis and if anyone has watched his episode, hopefully they would realize how many people are also getting hungry around the world. Oliver did a good show to conduct awareness to America and how they should be responsible on the way they deal with their food purchase.
