Both very successful women in their own right, Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox are definitely the two biggest voices of the transgender community currently in the Unites States media, and the Olympian turned reality star and the "Orange is the New Black" actress have often spoken through social media, without meeting in person.
However, last weekend it finally happened, as Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox finally met each other during a special screening of Jenner's upcoming E! documentary about her gender transition, "I Am Cait" - and these two amazing ladies obviously hit it off right away!
As Time Magazine reports, Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox have been mentioning each other for social media for weeks, and the Emmy nominee has championed Jenner's brave stand on her own life since she publicly came out and showed the world her new name.
The recent screening didn't just include Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox, but other well-known transgender women fighting for acceptance, including the actress and performance actress Candis Cayne.
According to The Daily Mail, Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox posed for a snap together plus another one in a larger group to show the world how they'd finally gotten together after months of expectations from fans on both ends and those who support equality for the trans community.
Us Weekly reports that, while Cox has shown nothing but support to Jenner's decision to live life as she'd always meant to, she still recently took to her Tumblr to write about how the fight wasn't over and there was still a lot to be done for the trans community, now that both Jenner and Cox were in positions of privilege.
In one of their many social media encounters, Kris Jenner's ex took to Twitter to call Cox "fierce and fabulous" and thank her for the support.
Jenner's docuseries will be premiering on E! next Sunday 26, and let's hope Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox watch it together and become the best friends in the future months!
