Trent Reznor Net Worth: Nine Inch Nails Oscar Winner Making ‘Fight Club’ Rock Opera With David Fincher?

The genius behind industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails has been trying a different music-related career path in the past few years, as he's teamed up with critically acclaimed film director David Fincher to score three of his films, helping Trent Reznor's net worth increase - and they may have another project underway.

Rumor has it that the next project that'll boost both Fincher's and Trent Reznor's net worth will be off the screen, as it's said the two are currently working on adapting Fincher's cult favorite "Fight Club" (itself an adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's novel of the same name) into a rock musical.

It's currently "in" to make musicals based on films, but so far this may be the only one that could make Trent Reznor's net worth grow, after the rock star and composer has already gotten an Oscar from his collaboration with Fincher, specifically for the 2010 Mark Zuckerberg biopic "The Social Network," starring Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield.

His other collaborations with Fincher include the Daniel Craig film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and last year's "Gone Girl," starring Ben Affleck.

The Verge said the rumor about a possible sequel to the Edward Norton and Brad Pitt 1999 film started after Palahniuk reportedly spoke to entertainment reporter Jeff Goldsmith about a possible theater rock opera that would be produced by Fincher while making Trent Reznor's net worth grow as the person behind the score - and it seems like Broadway and "Frida" director Julie Taymor could also be attached to the problem!

Of course, the better part of Trent Reznor's net worth comes from his work in Nine Inch Nails, a band he has been a fundamental part of for more than 25 years, since 1988, but these days he can sit back and work on whatever he wishes, as he continues to work in film and music.

Besides his own scoring, many films have used Nine Inch Nails songs as part of their soundtracks, including the Joss Whedon-written film "The Cabin in the Woods" starring Chris Hemsworth.

Currently, Celebrity Net Worth lists Trent Reznor's net worth at $70 million.
