Daniel Craig ‘Star Wars’: Simon Pegg Talks James Bond’s ‘Force Awakens’ Cameo – Is Rachel Weisz’s Husband A STORMTROOPER? [VIDEO]

After it came out that J.J. Abrams and "Star Trek" actor Simon Pegg would be taking on a cameo on the highly awaited "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens," the British comedian hinted that the current James Bond actor would be making a Daniel Craig "Star Wars" appearance - and Rachel Weisz's husband himself is finally speaking out about this.

Unfortunately for fans of James Bond and George Lucas' galaxy far, far away, Daniel Craig's "Star Wars" cameo was no more than a fantasy or a joke Pegg made that was ultimately blown out of proportion, as the 47 year-old denies it.

According to The Guardian, rumors of Daniel Craig's "Star Wars" appearance began last May, when the "World's End" actor and writer was spotted at the Abu Dhabi set of the first film of the upcoming new "Star Wars" trilogy and he was asked whether he played a Stormtrooper, when he said that it was Craig playing one, adding that he "shouldn't have said that."

Instead of taking the Daniel Craig "Star Wars" appearance comment as a joke, which it probably was seeing as it came from one of the top comedic actors in the United Kingdom, the "Spectre" star seemed downright insulted at Pegg's comments.

"Why would I ever bother doing something like that?" Craig told Entertainment Weekly, when asked whether Daniel Craig's "Star Wars" cameo was true. "F-ing hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie? Talk to Simon Pegg. He obviously knows way more than I do. He's just jealous because he's not in Star Wars. He's got some issue with J.J. I don't know what the f- it is. You need to talk to Simon about it."

However, The Independent points out that, for all Craig's rant, he didn't exactly deny he won't be a part of the upcoming film, as he could definitely have a much juicier role - were Daniel Craig's "Star Wars" comments a decoy for an actual appearance on the movie or just the actor showing he has a practically nonexistent sense of humor?
