Nick Cave Son Arthur Dies After Falling From Brighton Cliff – At Only 15

It's a sad day for the family of the frontman of the Melbourne-based band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, after it has come out that Nick Cave's son, 15 year-old Arthur Cave, died tragically last Tuesday after falling from a cliff at Brighton and Hove in England.

Last Tuesday, people passing by found Nick Cave's son on the coastal gap of the Ovingdean Gap, after having suffered a 60 feet fall from the top of the cliff; an ambulance was called as the teenager was still alive, but he ultimately passed away from the injuries of such a strong fall.

According to The Guardian, Nick Cave's son Arthur was airlifted to the Royal Sussex county hospital in Brighton (approximately 50 miles south of London) last Tuesday evening after walkers attempted to give him first aid following the tragic fall.

Us Weekly reports that it was the singer and his wife Susie (the mother of Arthur and his twin brother Earl) who confirmed the death of Nick Cave's son, as they both asked the press to allow them privacy during this difficult time for the family.

"Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening," said the grieving parents through a statement. "He was our beautiful, happy, loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time."

Arthur, with twin brother Earl, is the youngest of Nick Cave's sons, four in total.

It has been reported that local police is currently investigating Arthur's death, though it is not being treated as suspicious.

According to The Argus, Arthur's school friends from St Bede's School in Hailsham, East Sussex, have paid tribute to the 15 year-old since news of his death came out, leaving flowers at the cliff where he fell.

It has been reported that his parents visited the spot to see the flowers left for Nick Cave's son Arthur.
