Halle Berry returned to court with her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry on Tuesday, July 14, in order to cut down child support payments to their 7-year old daughter, Nahla.
According to reports, the 48-year old 'Extant' actress has reportedly filed a court case last fall, after insisting that giving $16,000-worth of monthly support to her ex-husband Aubry for Nahla, was just unacceptable.
Reports say that Berry hoping to reduce the child support amount demanded by Aubry, saying that he doesn't need more than a $4,000 each month.
As stated in the court documents, Berry said that she has no issues paying for child support, however, she insisted that Aubry needs to have his own full-time job and not just depending on the paychecks he receives from her every month.
"There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns," the document stated.
Berry seems eager to win the court case as she said that she will fight the battle as long as she can. Though Berry holds no proof, the actress strongly pointed out that Aubry has spent her money for his personal needs and wants, including his clothing, accessories and fitness.
The former couple share custody of their daughter, Nahla, following their separation in 2010. Berry got married to Olivier Martinez in 2013 and the two were blessed with their son, Maceo.
In 2012, the former couple reportedly got into a fight and Aubry said that he couldn't find a job due to the face injuries he suffered after being beaten by Berry's husband, Martinez.
Halle Berry is set to appear in the thriller movie 'Kidnap'. Under the direction of Luis Preto, the new film tells a story about a mother who will stop at nothing to have her kidnapped son back.
Besides Halle Berry, the movie also stars Malea Rose, Lucky Johnson, Christopher Berry, Dana Gourrier and Erica Curtis.
