Jay-Z's final of eight concert is streaming live online for free from the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The live streaming is on YouTube, starting at 9:30 p.m. EDT. The concert will Jay-Z's Life + Times YouTube channel, an extension of his pop-culture website.
The brand-new Barclays Center will be a venue for top performers such as Rihanna and Justin Bieber, as well as the new home for the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z is a minority owner of the basketball team.
According to a USA Today report, the Life + Times YouTube channel will feature a documentary called The Road to Brooklyn about the Brooklyn Nets.
In an interview, Jay-Z told MTV that "I really hope it's just a celebration," he shared about the eight-show run at the arena. "Pretty much all the concerts are loud and sing-a-longs, but I hope that this is a special thing. It's pretty much a celebration of having a team in Brooklyn - you know, again, everybody knows we hadn't had a team since the Dodgers, so it's really a happy time in Brooklyn."
