As Tyrese Gibson teased two weeks ago, by posting on his instagram a Green Lantern fan art of himself and Chris Pine as Green Lantern. At the San Diego Comic-Con, the Warner Bros. Hall H panel revealed news about the upcoming "Green Lantern" reboot will be officially titled Green Lantern Corps.
It is not clear yet who will be the lead character or who are the major characters of the film. But the possibilities are endless between Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner, plus thousands of alien Lanterns
Tyrese Gibson stated, "There are certain things I can't speak on," Tyrese also said, "But I will say, however this works out, it's definitely the fans' fault. I was at home minding my own business and fans start creating these fan-made videos of me as Green Lantern and I looked into it. I've been a fan of the Green Lantern. I took the oath, and I had a meeting at Warner Bros. and certain things were said and talked about. We'll just see what happens."
The Green Lantern Corps. is not centered on a single Green Lantern as it was in the much-maligned 2011 film with Ryan Reynolds, but this time there will be a whole team of Green Lantern. Thousands of Green Lantern from across the universe, selected among the best and bravest of their worlds will represent their planet as a super-power intergalactic police force.
The inter-galactic police force - Green Lantern Corps. watches over and enforces the law within the 3,600 sectors of the universe. Ryan Reynolds played the role of Hal Jordan in the 2011 film and is one of the more famous members, together with the earthbound John Stuart and Alan Scott.
By way of their power rings, the Lanterns have the power to will virtually anything into existence and anything from force fields to armor, to blasts to floating green fists.
