On Friday, Nicky Hilton exchanged vows with British banking heir James Rothschild at the Orangery at the Kensington Palace in London which is the home of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, with her husband Prince William Duke of Cambridge and their two children.

Unfortunately, even before the ceremonies began, Nicky Hilton already suffered some mishap on the way to her wedding.

As Nicky stepped out of Claridge's Hotel in London she rode a flashy Bentley as a wedding car to get to the Kensington Palace. Hilton's veil runs almost as long as her custom haute couture Valentino dress, which is practically 10 feet long.

Maybe going long isn't always the best option since Nicky's veil got caught under the wheel of the Bentley as she arrived at the Palace.

Thankfully, no damage was done to the exquisite veil as guests helped bride take the veil out from underneath the car.

While on the subject of the James Rothschild and Nicky Hilton wedding, an E! News source says that the couple had a white flower wall backdrop as they exchanged vows. Not only that, but the "non-denominational ceremony was performed by a woman."

Nicky Hilton wore a custom-made haute couture wedding gown by Valentino. It featured intricate lace details, a full ball gown skirt, and sheer sleeves covered in lace up to her neck.

It seems as though the theme for the wedding was white. Her bouquet also boasted of different species of flowers all in white.

Big sister Paris Hilton was probably even more excited than Nicky for the wedding. In a recent interview with New You Magazine, the DJ dished, "I am so happy for my sister because he's an amazing man and he loves her so much."

"He's loyal and loving. I know that they're going to be together forever and make the perfect couple," Paris Hilton added.
