As celebrities get married, there's definitely no shortage of wedding gowns. For Nicky Hilton's wedding to British banking heir James Rothschild, the Hilton heiress definitely went for the best of the best.
Nicky Hilton went for a custom haute couture wedding gown designed by Valentino. As she left Claridge's Hotel in London on Friday, Nicky Hilton gave the paparazzi a sneak peek of her jaw-dropping wedding gown.
Covered in white lace, the gown had a floor-sweeping ball skirt and "sheer illusion sleeves" that also covered up to her neck. She was also wearing a veil as long as her dress' train, as she held her bouquet of white roses.
In fact, the dress is so extravagant that it has a total of three different ivory hues and even has a "silver guipure with intricate crystal embellishments." To add more drama, the train is actually almost ten feet long. She even topped off her wedding look with some custom-made Christian Louboutin pumps.
The Valentino creation was definitely fit for royalty, which was very appropriate, given that her marriage to James Rothschild was at the Kensington Palace (the home of Kate Middleton, Prince William and their children).
Back in May, Nicky Hilton talked to Avenue Magazine about her stunning dress. "It was a no-brainer for me. I've wanted this designer to design my wedding dress since I was a little girl, so the fact that it's happening and they're making me a custom couture dress is just very exciting.
Nicky even recalled, "I was shown about 15 sketches and then came back for another round, and we narrowed it down to three and then click in on the one."
But that dress doesn't come cheap either, the Valentino wedding dress reportedly has a price tag way above $50,000. Maid of honor and big sister Paris Hilton, along with mother Kathy Hilton, were sporting pale sky blue gowns created by Dennis Basso.
