Apple Inc. just recently announced that the company is making preparations to produce more iPhones by the end of the year.
Just last year, the tech company demanded 70 to 80 million units to keep up with the demand of the smartphone, which is the biggest production the company has undertaken as to date.
But as the benchmark is raised this year, suppliers are tasked to manufacture around 80 to 90 million units of the 4.7-inch display of the iPhone 6, and the 5.5 inch display of the iPhone 6 Plus.
Apple Inc.'s suppliers have already begun the manufacturing of these iPhone models that make use of the Force Touch since June. The Force Touch is also used in the Apple Watch and MacBook laptops.
iDigital Times Australia reports that the Force Touch screen on the top-selling Apple smartphones allows users with "a better experience" given that the feature can now differentiate between light and deep taps from users.
On the other hand, The Economic Times reports that the sizes of the iPhones' screens will still be the same, boasting of the same high-definition resolution.
Apple relies on the China-based company, Hon Hair Precision Industry Co. (Foxconn), to assemble the various components of the smart phones. But given the increased demand, the latter company has also been said to hire more employees for the massive production, which is slated to begin next month.
Another supplier for Apple called Pegatron Corp. is also expecting an increased production for the iPhone's components. Apple is currently negotiating a deal with a Taiwan-based assembler, Wistron Corp., to help keep up with the iPhone demands by the last day of December.
Although several reports have surfaced regarding the massive production to keep up with demands, Apple is still keeping quiet about these claims on the supply and demand of the iPhone.
