The former Miss America and singer-actress Vanessa Williams, tied the knot with Jim Skrip on the 4th of July. This will be Vanessa Williams' third marriage, the Syracuse University alumnus was previously married to public relations consultant Ramon Hervey for 10 years, 1987-97 and former Los Angeles Laker Rick Fox in 1999. Williams has three children with Ramon Hervey and a daughter with Fox.
Before Williams became the first black Miss America in 1983, she was a musical theater major at Syracuse University from 1981 to 1983.
Vanessa revealed during a taping of The Queen Latifah Show her engagement. After Latifah joked Williams about being blinded by her new bling, Williams said: "I got engaged," she also added: "I have had a lot of good things happen ... I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings."

Vanessa met Jim Skrip while traveling in Egypt. Skrip, a former accountant lives in Depew, New York, near Buffalo
Vanessa Williams said: "You never know what you'll find and where you'll find it," she said. "I was on vacation with my daughter going to Egypt, cruising on the Nile. I wasn't looking for anything. I'd been alone for a number of years and divorced for 10 years at that time."
Williams said, the St. Bonaventure grad Skrip, who is living in Depew, is "just a nice, regular, gorgeous guy."
Aside Vanessa's wedding, she is also very busy with her career, this year Vanessa Williams appeared in the USA Network show Royal Pains and had a guest spot on The Mindy Project. And in 2014, Williams did the opposite Cicely Tyson and Blair Underwood in the touring revival of The Trip To Bountiful.
