Beer Pong: Five Brothers Have Changed The Way Drinking Game Is Played Through 'Slip Cup' [WATCH + PHOTOS]

Five brothers from Connecticut has just solved one of the major problems in beer pong: its dirty and unhygienic nature.

Naturally, when players aim to throw a ping pong ball into its rival's beer cup, players more often than not miss the shot (which seems to happen more often as the players get more drunk throughout the game).

Obviously, the ping pong ball ends up bouncing around the whole place and even rolls on the floor. Regardless of how many times one may attempt to clean it with their shirt, or rinse it off with a glass of water, it's still pretty clear that the ball is still covered in dirt.

The dirt (and bacteria, most probably) then contaminates the beer players are required to drink, when the ball lands in the cup. To solve this, these five Connecticut bros invented the "Slip Cup."

The device allows beer pong to be played in a cleaner fashion as the "Slip Cup" is able to shield the beer all while catching the ping pong ball.

In the promotional video posted on Kickstarter, Chase Treibt says, "We created Slip Cup to take the mess out of beer pong while putting the fun back into it."

But Slip Cup isn't just for protecting beer from ping pong balls. In fact, the five brothers created 15 more games to add some intensity (and variety) in the beer pong game.

The idea for the Slip Cup originally stemmed from Chase's concept. "We have always had a dream of starting a business together. So obviously once we heard Chase's great idea, we all jumped on it and began making the prototypes," said brother Trevor.

While the idea seems easy enough, it actually took a lot of time to develop. Trevor explained, "I know the idea looks simple but it actually took us over 8 months and 50 different prototypes just to get our patent done."
