Actor and filmmaker Channing Tatum, known for his character in the new stripper sequel "Magic Mike XXL," has now been doing a serious diet to avoid being 'skinny'.
Channing is getting ready for his role on the upcoming Marvel X-Men spinoff "Gambit," where he will be playing the character of a New Orleans thief and mutant.
"Gambit's gonna be different," Tatum said at the Magic Mike XXL premiere. "You can't just be skinny. He's gonna be way, way, way less muscle mass."
When being asked about his secret for losing muscle mass, the 35-year old actor answered, "A lot of running and a lot of broccoli... super sexy, right?".
Having a body like the one with Channing Tatum, obviously needs a super-disciplined diet.
In a recent Q&A session on Reddit, Tatum said "A lot of people just work out and don't actually diet and they wonder why they aren't getting the results they want, and some people do the exact opposite and wonder the same thing. I really think you have to do both."
A week before Channing Tatum started shooting for "Magic Mike XXL," Esquire magazine conducted an interview with the actor in December last year.
While dining on a single chicken breast and facing the interviewer enjoying nine whole crabs, he said: "I would like a beer. I would like to have some crab. I love eating. But this is what I'm doing right now. This is really fine. I'm like T-minus I-don't-know-what to being naked all the time."
As also stated in the magazine, Channing only ate "about half of one chicken breast. With water."
The feature stated, "He eats about half of one chicken breast. With Water. The stripper's diet. The Wrestler's diet. Sore in muscle and bone, dizzy with hunger, all in service to the upcoming nakedness. It's not that bad, he says. It's what he's doing."
It's definitely hard work to look like Channing Tatum.
Channing's upcoming film, "Gambit" will be hitting theaters on October 7, 2016.
